Kuble - House of Intelligence launches AI avatar for mental health

With the AI avatar “Ella”, developed for the web platform “Etwastun?!”Kuble – House of Intelligence makes a groundbreaking contribution to the digital promotion of mental health in the workplace. In close partnership with Angestellte Schweiz and WorkMed, an application was created that offers low-threshold, secure, and data protection-compliant support for mental challenges. Also for people who otherwise find no or only difficult access to help.

Here you can access Ella

Using technology for good

“Ella” is not a substitute for psychological professionals. She is an AI-based avatar that imparts knowledge, provides food for thought, and empathetically encourages self-reflection. Conversations with “Ella” can be conducted in text and speech form. Her digital expertise is based on the professionally verified content of “Etwastun?!” as well as occupational psychological research and has been trained in such a way that she can have trustworthy, supportive conversations – without making diagnoses or intervening therapeutically.“We have developed ‘Ella’ so that she makes evidence-based psychological knowledge accessible in a respectful way – around the clock, securely and anonymously,” quotes Olivia Schiffmann, partner at Kuble “She is not a psychologist, but a digital conversation partner with attitude and competence. For us, it is clear: Technology should empower people, not replace them.”
so Olivia Schiffmann, partner at Kuble.

Digital first aid – sensitive and always available

Mental burdens are often associated with shame and uncertainty. Digital conversation partners like “Ella” can lower this hurdle and facilitate the beginning of engaging with one's own well-being. As a solution that is always and independently accessible, Ella is available where support is needed – discreetly, understandingly, and reliably.

Transformation into the age of AI

“At Angestellte Schweiz, we see technology and artificial intelligence as an opportunity to advocate even better for good working conditions for professionals,” says Stefan Studer, Managing Director of Angestellte Schweiz. “After we have already launched a chatbot for initial legal advice with Kuble, Ella follows. The digital helpers, alongside AI training for our members and employees and other measures, are an important pillar for the transformation into the age of AI. Kuble takes us on this journey with knowledge and measures that we promptly implement together.”

Data protection-compliant infrastructure in Switzerland

The technical infrastructure of “Ella” is operated in Swiss data centers. The application meets all requirements for data protection (including GDPR and the Swiss Data Protection Act), information security, and ethical standards. No personally identifiable or sensitive data is permanently stored – conversations remain anonymous, confidential, and limited to the immediate conversation.
